Warren Anthony Douglas is a 20 year old actor from Louisiana. Warren started acting at the age of 8 when a friend recommended him for a role in a locally produced show, Toujours Suzette. After reading for the director, Warren was cast immediately and has been acting ever since.
Since then, Warren has been a prominent figure in the theatre community of his hometown, Marksville, and the surrounding area. He has performed in everything from classics like Annie and Guys & Dolls to modern favorites such as Disney's High School Musical. He has most recently studied acting with Dr. Michael Tick, a student of Sanford Meisner, and scene study with John Patrick Bray, whose Off-Broadway plays have been very well recieved by critics and audiences alike. Even though he has little formal training, Warren continues to be cast in highly sought roles, including the coveted role of Jean Valjean in the Broadway favorite Les Miserables. Warren has been compared by industry professionals to several popular actors, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Jack Nicholson.
Though he has been involved primarily in stage acting, and would love to continue acting onstage, Warren would like to pursue a career in film acting. Some of Warren's favorite actors are Hugh Panaro, Edward Norton, Jeffery Donovan, and Bruce Campbell. Some of Warren's favorite films include American History X, Never Back Down, the Evil Dead trilogy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and V for Vendetta.
Warren is currently signed to Stage 2000, Inc. For any inquiries, please contact Ron Randall at 225-216-9195.
Busy busy as of late. For anyone who doesn't know yet, the baby is a girl and we've decided to name her Allyson Claire. Kayla is getting HUGE and little Ally love to move about at around 3 am and sit on Mommy's bladder. She's also kicked me in the head more than once...
Other than that, just getting ready for the Mike Beaty Expo next week. Lots of these things are scams, and this one certainly has a cover charge worthy of one, but I trust Ron. He's a good guy, and runs a legit agency (it's in my contract that I pay him 10-15% of what I make on a booking, so no question there). I hope I can impress someone here. I'd like to have some representation in a bigger market than Baton Rouge. When I asked if this would be a good move for my career, Ron said "Absolutely". He told me he thinks the agents will like what they see. He said he doesn't think I could have picked a better song ("This Is the Moment" from Jekyll and Hyde), and even though he hasn't seen my monologue or 2 person scene, he said he doesn't need to see them. I guess he believes in me at least, but considering I had to write my own material, I'm slightly less confident.
Ah well. We shall see. We leave on Tuesday. Now I need to go practice.
Much love guys.
